Torabhaig Allt Gleann Batch Strength Review
Transparency is the name of the game with this release, whose label includes tons of information about its production that whisky geeks will get a kick out of. The nose opens with fresh notes of ripening fruit and maritime air, followed by peppery, vegetal expressions on the palate. The flavor profile showcases the more earthy, green side of peat versus full-on bonfire smoke. Despite being peated and high proof, this stellar Isle of Skye whisky feels a lot more approachable than most cask-strength bottlings.
