Kozlović Malvasia 2022 Review

The Kozlović family has been working their land on Croatia's Istrian peninsula since the early 20th century. Gianfranco and his wife Antonella are the fourth generation to run the winery,  and their focus is on the Malvasia grape. Today they're the largest private producer of Malvasia in Istria. They play around with various styles of this diverse grape but it’s their dry Malvasia that will make you do a double take. The nose shows off with bold floral notes along with some tangerine, mandarin oranges, and a slight whisper of honey. The palate brings vibrant acidity and a delightful, waxy texture with soft citrus flavors like preserved lemon.
